Cemetery Walk, October 25th, 2-4 P.M. at Winsted's
Old Burying Grounds
The Old Burying Ground, also known as Central Cemetery is the final resting place of the famous, and possibly, infamous including William L. Gilbert, the Camps, the Boyds, the Beardsleys and other illustrious figures of Winsted's past. But lesser known, but no less influential, are newspaper editors, at least one murder victim, Civil War soldiers and many, many, more fascinating figures of Winsted's "Golden Age". Whose lives will we choose to interpret? Come and see.
Watch for details!
The Old Burying Ground is across from the northern tip of the Town Green on Grove Street.
